Celebration of Long-Serving Justices of the Peace in Nudgee

State Member for Nudgee, Leanne Linard, recently hosted a special morning tea to recognise long-servicing Justices of the Peace in the Nudgee Electorate.

Kevin Edwards of Geebung, Ray Watson of Banyo, Len Hughes of Zillmere, John Holland of Geebung, Leo Bozzi of Chermside were awarded with long-service certificates for 25 to 40 years of continual service as a Justice of the Peace in Queensland.

“Justices of the Peace and Commissioners for Declarations provide an invaluable service in our local community” Ms Linard said.

“Very often, JPs and CDecs are the only contact some people have with the state’s justice system. It can be time-consuming work that requires a great attention to detail, and I believe I speak for the whole community in thanking them for their dedicated service”.

If you or someone you know has provided 25, 40, 50 or 60 years of service as a Justice of the Peace or Commissioner for Declarations, contact the Justices of the Peace Branch of the Department of Justice at [email protected] to apply for a long-service certificate.
