$1000 Bursary Available for Earnshaw State College Students

If there’s one thing I know, it’s that you should never forget where you came from.

As a third generation Nudgee resident and a previous school captain at Earnshaw State College (then Banyo SHS), I love every opportunity I get to appreciate what this community has given me, and more than that – the opportunity to give something back.

That’s why I was so thrilled to have announced the $1000 Leanne Linard MP Bursary at Earnshaw’s Leaders and Scholars ceremony recently.

This bursary will be offered to a Year 12 student at Earnshaw State College, to support them in their next steps as they prepare to leave high school and enter adulthood.

Whether it be TAFE, University, an apprenticeship, pursuing a career in the arts, community service, or travel – the possibilities are limited only by what they can dream for themselves.

I really look forward to awarding this bursary at Earnshaw’s graduation this year, best of luck to the 2023 year 12 cohort.
